How Darth Vader Remembered Mustafar
What if Obi-Wan hadn't interfered on Mustafar? What if Anakin had been able to persuade Padme of the plans he had for them to overthrow Palpatine and rule the galaxy together? During a secret mission, Darth Vader looks back on the decisions he made on that fateful day.
The video details the moment Emperor Palpatine sent Vader back to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to search for the Sith Holocrons. During his search, Vader broods over his actions as Anakin and those final moments on Mustafar. Vader knew the Jedi would have stood in the way of the actions he and Padme would have needed to take regarding assassination of the Emperor the fate of the galaxy. But instead of listening to him, she worked herself up into a fit, convinced that he cared more about the quest for Power above all else. Didn't she understand that everything he'd done to this point, his assault on Master Mace Windu, his assassination of the younglings at the temple, it had all been for her and their unborn child? Vader knew that even if he destroyed Palpatine, the Jedi would stand against him. The old order, so set in their ways, might even take Anakin and Padme's children. Why did the council call him "The Chosen One" only to hold him back?
