[NEWS] Has Woody Harrelson Accidentally Revealed The Name of Star Wars Han Solo Spin-Off?
Woody Harrelson has been busy promoting his new film, ‘War For The Planet Of The Apes’, but he may have let some information slip about the forthcoming Han Solo film. Appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to talk movies and more, he was questioned at great length about the Star Wars spin-off.
Details surrounding the film have been kept guarded, but Woody may have inadvertently let the cat out of the bag. Colbert asked, ‘Your character’s name is Beckett. Tell me something about Beckett that we don’t know, because you’re not going anywhere until you tell us something about the movie.”
“I’m a criminal,” laughed Woody.
“Ah that’s pretty good. A fellow criminal along with Han. I’ll take that,” said Colbert, before holding up an Instagram post featuring a picture of Woody wearing a crew t-shirt with a SOLO logo on it.
“Right there on your shirt, it says SOLO, like a crew shirt. is that the name of the movie?” he pressed.
“Right now, that is the temporary name of the movie,” laughed Woody.
“That is an exclusive, no one else knows this – correct? This is an exclusive?” says Colbert, at which point Woody says nothing and just laughs.
The Natural Born Killers star had already spilled some details on his role in the upcoming Star Wars spin-off for Han Solo in May – but in not such a light hearted manner.
The 55-year-old actor appeared on Good Morning Britain opposite hosts Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid, where they attempted to pry information out of Woody over his role as Beckett in the prequel.
Asked if he was on the light or dark side, Woody replied: “Very good side. Mentor to Han and a criminal in my own right.”
He wasn’t revealing much however, with Shephard remarking: “You can’t really tell us much about it, can you?”
“I can’t say a word,” Woody replied.
After being asked if he had to sign a confidentiality agreement, he joked: “They’ll let you know.”
We’ll find out soon enough, young Harrelson.
