Mark Hamill and Why a Luke Skywalker Story Just Wouldn't Work
With the recent release of The Force Awakens and audiences finding themselves on the advent of The Last Jedi with the young Han Solo film currently in production, interviewers are asking any and all questions they can think to ask of the franchise's main cast members. Of course, one such cast members includes one of the most prodigious actors of the franchise, Mark Hamill.
In a recent interview - Star Wars, along with other Disney products, being on the forefront of everyone's mind thanks to D23 - Mark Hamill was asked about the possibility of a young Luke Skywalker film, much like the oncoming young Han Solo film.
The answer given is fairly obvious. Han Solo had an exciting past, Luke Skywalker didn't. One would think that the need to ask such a question would be erased with just a bit of thought, and that time would be better spent asking other questions, but others find it a questions still worth asking. However, now you, our readers, know that someone thought asking this question was a worthwhile use of time.
While a young Luke Skywalker film is a humorous concept, to say the least, what about a film following Luke Skywalker after the events of Return of the Jedi? While The Last Jedi may prove to reveal some of these events, there's no denying that the events that transpired after Episode VI would no doubt be interesting.
Ultimately, the reason we at the HoloFeed bring this to the attention of you, our audience, is because we want to know what you have to think. Could there be a way for young Luke Skywalker to work as a viable film? What about post-Return of the Jedi?
